Fire Safety
Here are some fire safety tips

Fire Place Ashes
When disposing of ashes:

Use a covered metal bin placed outside
-
Place the bin at least 10 feet from your house, any other structure, and heavy brush - anything that can catch fire
Carbon Monoxide Alarm

You should have a carbon monoxide on each floor and ideally in each bedroom.

Check the expiration date on each detector and replace when expired
-
Replace batteries when needed
-
Test alarms once a month

Remember A single (1) beep tells you to replace the batteries and four (4) beeps tells you to leave the house and call 911.
